Intergenerational dance performance

In WITH US! TWO, dancers David Winking and Karel Vaněk explore partnership as a multifaceted and dynamic relational structure that cannot be reduced to romantic constellations but encompasses various forms of coexistence. The bodies become vessels of relationship: they react to one another, support one another, contradict one another, or create tension between them. Who is perceived as an equal partner? Whose bodies are considered “capable” or “different”? As different physical and biographical perspectives collide, partnership becomes a space where social hierarchies can be reproduced, but also disrupted and shifted.

WITH US! TWO sees itself as a contribution to increasing the visibility of people with Down syndrome in the context of the performing arts. The production thus positions itself at the intersection of current discourses on diversity and articulates the vision of an inclusive artistic practice that not only integrates different bodies, life realities, and forms of expression but also recognizes them as equal and aesthetically productive elements.
