Fokus Tanz e. V. / Think Big! Festival Munich
Fokus Tanz/Tanz und Schule e-V. is a program area of Access to Dance (Tanzplan München) and is directed by Simone Schulte-Aladag, Andrea Marton, Anja Brixle and Eva Seidl.
Since 2006, Tanz und Schule has made contemporary dance for children and young people in Munich and Bavaria a regular classroom activity. In the meantime, Fokus Tanz also works in daycare centers and with refugee children and young people. In addition, Fokus Tanz offers advanced training programs for dance teachers. Fokus Tanz organizes the biennial festival THINK BIG! and produces dance pieces for young audiences within the framework of explore dance, Tanzpakt Stadt-Land-Bund, together with its partners K3 Tanzplan Hamburg and Fabrik Potsdam.
ACCESS TO DANCE is a program for the promotion and strengthening of contemporary dance in Bavaria, which was initiated in 2006 by an association of various Munich dance organizations and institutions – Tanzbasis e. V. – as part of Tanzplan Deutschland. Through a variety of interdisciplinary activities and institutional networking, ACCESS TO DANCE brings together practice and theory and creates sustainable new structures and formats for dance in Munich and Bavaria.
ACCESS TO DANCE is supported by the Cultural Department of the City of Munich, the Bavarian State Association for Contemporary Dance (BLZT) with funds from the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art, and the District of Upper Bavaria.

The Schauspielhaus Bochum is one of the largest and most renowned theaters in Germany and plays an important role in the cultural life of the city. With almost 300 employees, it is one of the largest spoken theaters in Germany. The Schauspielhaus has a total of three venues, including the Schauspielhaus (811 seats), the Kammerspiele (410 seats) and Zeche Eins (120 seats). Each season, the program includes about 22 premieres and a total of about 550 performances – including guest performances, readings and concerts.
The institution The Schauspielhaus Bochum is part of the Schauspielhaus Bochum and has been in existence since 2000. Since 2018/2019 Cathrin Rose is the director of the The Schauspielhaus Bochum, whose program is characterized by new narrative forms for a modern and diverse urban society. Besides plays for the whole family, artistic productions are developed together with children, teenagers and adults in the theater gangs. They rehearse throughout the season and are also aimed at young people and children with special needs or people who have already passed adolescence. They cover the areas of dance, theater, puppet theater and research projects. The theater gangs present their results at their own festival at the end of the season in Zeche 1. The Junges Schauspielhaus focuses on cooperation with schools: Whether in the primary school sector, as in the arts in the classroom, or with secondary schools at Bespiel Mal Bochum! The Schauspielhaus Bochum goes out into the city, focuses on inclusive and diversity-oriented work and seeks an exchange with the (young) inhabitants of the Ruhr area.
The AMG was founded in 1878. In the lower and middle school it is a four-stream all-day high school. The upper school offers a wide range of basic and advanced courses. Here, all degrees can be obtained within the framework of Sec. I or Sec. II, including the Abitur. At present the school has 850 students* and 85 teachers. The school is easy to reach thanks to its very good transport connections.
The Albertus-Magnus-Gymnasium in Ehrenfeld has a tradition as a district school, which has always been characterized by an inclusive attitude in many aspects. Triggered by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the inclusion plans of the city and state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the AMG has been constructively engaged in inclusive school and teaching development since 2011. A broad concept of inclusion is applied and the individuality of each child is welcomed. Gender, migration background, need for support, social status, culture and religion are aspects of diversity that enrich the AMG.
We are committed to creating an atmosphere characterized by openness, friendliness and personal attention. After all, a culture of learning is at the heart of school life, which is continuously reflected and developed.
What also makes the AMG something special is its cultural profile, which received an award from the Minister President of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in 2008. At the core of this concept are the TheaterMedienKlassen (TMK). With its unique profile, the AMG has been cooperating since 2000 with the lecturers of Comedia, which is highly regarded in Cologne and has long made a name for itself in the field of children’s and youth theater as well as acting training. Since then, one TMK class has been set up for each grade in each school year.
