In der 6. Episode möchten wir einen Trend unserer Zeit ganz besonders beleuchten:

Exemplarisch für unsere Zeit steht die hohe Trennungsquote von jungen Paaren!

Fehlt der lange Atem? Ist die Kompromissbereitschaft abhanden gekommen? Sind wir uns selbst so nah, dass wir niemanden mehr brauchen oder hatten Beziehungen schon immer ein ganz natürliches Verfallsdatum - und wir haben es nur ignoriert? Oder ist es doch die chronische Überforderung im Alltag: Job, Kinder, Bedürfnisse der Anderen, Flexibilität und wo bleibt das Selbst? Antonio Cabrita und Caroline Simon stehen in dieser Episode stellvertretend für ihre Generation der Anfang 30-Jährigen. Sie sind Arbeitskollegen, Freunde, hin und wieder Vater und Mutter füreinander... sie sind ein Paar. Haben ein Kind, einen Wellensittich, ein Babysitterproblem und keinen Sex. Sie stehen kurz vorm Aufgeben.

In the 6th episode, we would like in particular to explore a trend in our day and age.

It is a mark of our times that the separation rate amongst young couples is higher than ever before.

Are we lacking staying power? Have we lost our willingness to make compromises? Are we so centered on ourselves that we no longer need anyone else, or have relationships always had a natural shelf life that we had been ignoring? Or is it the chronic and excessive demands that we face everyday: work, children, the needs of others, flexibility and where does that leave room for the self? Antonio Cabrita and Caroline Simon represent the early thirties generation in this episode. They work together, are friends, serve as father and mother for each other every so often... they are a couple. Have a child, a budgie and no sex. They are on the brink of giving up.
